As a church of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, we believe that the Almighty and Eternal God has created us, loves us, and will protect us – regardless of our circumstances or station in life. During times of trial, God’s love gives us peace and comfort. We believe our most basic and urgent need is to know a loving, forgiving God. We believe God has met this need through Jesus Christ, His Son, as revealed through His Word, The Bible. We believe God desires each of us to be in relationship with Him. We believe that meaningful and fulfilling relationships occur with the context of Christian community.
The sense of community is ingrained in our mission statement:
We are a community called by Christ to change lives by His Grace. As a community, we believe that we are people joined together by God around His Word and Sacraments. We are passionate about the mission God has given us to bring His love and message to all people – Christians and non-Christians alike. We are committed to sharing the message of Jesus Christ with those not yet connected to Him. We are dedicated to discipling people so that they will know more about Jesus, serve Him more effectively and join us more fervently in that mission.
We acknowledge:
Our hope of heaven and the renewal of our lives here and now begins with a simple faith that through the death and resurrection of Jesus our sins are forgiven and our life with God is restored. No work or goodness or power of ours could set us right with God. God set us right with Him when we were powerless to do anything.
